Extreme Steam continued
SP&S 700 heads east across Montana with a passenger special in October of 2002.
The train crosses the Continental Divide at the summit of Mullan Pass.
The powerful 4-8-4 gets a good workout climbing the west slope of Bozeman Pass.
On the westbound return trip, the 700 performs a photo runby at Livingston, Montana
Nearing the end of its journey, the excursion train crosses the Jocko River in western Montana.
In May of 2001, Frisco 1522 pulls a BNSF Employee Appreciation Special near Morrison, Oklahoma.
In June, 2001 the 1522 passes some wildflowers on a run from Haslet to Metro, Texas.
The Employee Appreciation Special rounds a curve at Justin, Texas.
Frisco 1522 departs St. Louis, Missouri on its final run in September of 2002.
The 1522 ends its career with pride, winding through the Ozarks on home rails.
