In 1988 the MKT was acquired by the Union Pacific and our tape shows MKT operations prior to the takeover. Follow their freight operations north from Galveston throughout Texas and into Oklahoma ending with their yard in Kansas City. A vast assortment of motive power can be seen in this tape in its original MKT paint. We are fortunate to be able to share this great railroad with you since it is now gone. 60 Minutes |
