Come along as we travel the entire length of Mexico's Pacifico Railroad from Guadalajara to U.S. border at Nogales. It's an eleven-hundred-mile odyssey that examines the many facets of an extraordinary operation.

The Pacifico Railroad features one of the most unusual locomotive rosters in existence. Older Alco and MLW engines still report for duty, including the last remaining active Alco PA diesels. Of special interest is Alco PA DH-17 which was recently painted in Southern Pacific's famous Daylight paint scheme, You'll also see newly-acquired BC Rail locomotives in action. Then, Pentrex takes you behind the scenes into the shops at Empalme where you'll see maintenance work and construction of new General Electric Super 7 engines.

Along the way, you'll witness railroading from a different era. Train orders are still hooped up, telegraphers attend to their keys, cabooses mark the end of all freight trains, and marker lamps remain in use. In this bastion of new and old, there's much to see and experience. Join us in an intriguing journey as we explore Mexico's Pacifico Railroad.
