From the beginning, tickets have been in demand. As the train travels through the scenic and fertile wine grape growing region of the Napa Valley, passengers are treated to elegant dining and a comfortable ride in the completely refurbished heavyweight passenger cars. A variety of beverages are served in the observation lounge also. The train is pulled by an historic FA-4 Alco locomotive acquired from the Canadian National Railway. A number of scheduled departures leave from downtown Napa and travel north to St. Helena before returning.
