Product Description
Imagine not slow, two-mile long, trains, but a racetrack - maybe even a drag strip - of railroading. In 1994, that describes the Santa Fe's mainline between the West Coast and Kansas City.
Fast freight was a matter of pride and profit for the Santa Fe. From Wellington, Kansas to KC, Missouri, autoracks, manifests, containers and Santa Fe's specialty, pig trains, all could get a speedy 70 miles an hour highball as they dashed east and west on the Emporia Sub.
We spend time at Kansas City's busy Santa Fe Junction before heading a couple of miles west to AY Tower, Argentine Yard, and Turner Tower. Then it's train after train all the way to Wellington.
This program features informed narration, on-screen locations and train symbols plus select track diagram and location maps. Video navigation by menu and chapters. Narration on/off feature.
