Wreck on the CSX Mohawk Sub: Collision at CP 188 DVD

On June 27th, 2013, a westbound CSX train was in the process of crossing over from one track to another, when an eastbound train approached and failed to heed the stop signal at this location. The resulting sideswipe collision shut down the busy Mohawk Subdivision for over 56 hours. BKVP arrived at the scene shortly after the mishap, and over the next several days we documented the derailment, the clean-up and the reopening of this vital railroad line.
